Sports Betting Weekend: Thunder vs Spurs
Two of the NBA’s best teams will face off in an epic matchup this weekend when Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder visit the San Antonio Spurs.
The Spurs had been perfect at home this season at 30-0 straight up heading into Thursday's game against the Chicago Bulls, and a strong 20-10 ATS. In their lone matchup with the Thunder this season Oklahoma City came out on top 112-106 as a 4-point home favorite at online sportsbook Bovada.
In their last six games against the Thunder, though, the Spurs are 4-2 SU and ATS.
Also on the NBA hardwood this weekend the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Los Angeles Clippers looking to continue their domination of Los Angeles. Cleveland has won three straight SU and ATS versus the Clippers and they’re 16-4 SU and 14-6 ATS in their last 20.
In college hoops this weekend it’s all about conference tournaments leading into Selection Sunday.
Meanwhile, switching to the ice, the Dallas Stars have a tough weekend ahead of them with back-to-back games against the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues.
You would think getting both tough matchups at home would be good for Dallas, but they’re a disappointing 2-5 in their last seven home games. This season they’re 2-1 against Chicago and 4-1 in their last five. Against St. Louis the Stars are 1-3 this season and only 1-5 in their last six.
On the track this weekend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts their engines at Phoenix International Raceway in the Good Sam 500.
At Bovada Kevin Harvick is a +300 favorite to win this weekend and with his history at Phoenix it’s no wonder. Harvick won this race last season and in his career he has won seven Sprint Cup races on the track. Jimmie Johnson with four careers wins at Phoenix is listed at +600, while Brad Keselowski, who won in Las Vegas last week, is at +1000.
