College Football Week 10 Betting Preview
Coming off their first loss of the season the No. 10 Nebraska Cornhuskers could have a hard time getting back in the win column this weekend when they face the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes as a 17-point road underdog at online sportsbook Bovada.
Last week the Cornhuskers lost to the Wisconsin Badgers 23-17 as a 9-point favorite to drop to 7-1 straight up and 5-2-1 against the spread on the season. The final score went UNDER the posted total, making it six straight UNDER results for Nebraska and 9-2 UNDER in their last 11.
The Buckeyes edged the Northwestern Wildcats 24-20 as a 26-point favorite last week. That was the Buckeyes' fourth straight loss ATS. At home the Buckeyes have won five in a row SU with a 3-2 ATS record. In their last 14 home games Ohio State is only 4-10 ATS.
The Cornhuskers and Buckeyes have split their last two matchups with a win apiece, but Ohio State was 2-0 ATS.
The only other ranked matchup on tap in Week 10 is the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide at the No. 13 LSU Tigers.
Alabama was off last week and last played on October 22 when they defeated the Teas A&M Aggies 33-14 as a 17.5-point favorite. That was Alabama’s 20th straight win SU, during which they are 13-7 ATS.
LSU defeated the Mississippi Rebels 38-21 as an 8.5-point favorite last time out. That was their third win in a row SU and ATS and in their last 11 games they are 9-1-1 UNDER.
The Crimson Tide are 8-point chalk and have won their last nine games as a road favorite while going 5-3-1 ATS. When listed as a home underdog the Tigers are 2-6 SU and 3-3-2 ATS in their last eight.
Alabama has won their last five against the Tigers with a 3-1-1 ATS record. The Tide are also 3-1 SU and 2-1-1 ATS in their last four trips to LSU.
Also on tap this weekend the No. 18 Oklahoma State Cowboys are a 3-point road underdog against the unranked Kansas State Wildcats.
The Cowboys have won four straight after topping the West Virginia Mountaineers 37-20 as a 4.5-point underdog, while the Wildcats are coming off a 31-26 win over the Iowa State Cyclones as a 6-point favorite.
Kansas State is 2-5 SU in their last seven versus the Cowboys, but they’re 6-1 ATS. The Wildcats are also 10-3 ATS in their last 13 versus Oklahoma State and in their last six home games versus the Cowboys they are 5-1 SU and ATS.
