NFL Week 13 Betting Preview and Analysis
The New York Giants take a six-game winning streak into Week 13 of the NFL season, but they’re an underdog in their matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
New York made it six straight last week with a 27-13 win over the Cleveland Browns as a 6.5-point favorite. Against Pittsburgh they’re a 5-point road underdog at the Bovada sportsbook and their road record might have something to do with that. Despite their winning streak the Giants are 4-6 straight up and 3-4-3 against the spread in their last 10 road games.
Pittsburgh knocked off the Indianapolis Colts 28-7 as an 8-point favorite on Thanksgiving. The Steelers have won their last two games SU and ATS, both on the road. At home Pittsburgh is 7-2 SU and 5-3-1 ATS in their last nine.
Totals bettors may want to take the UNDER in this matchup. The Giants are 6-2 UNDER in their last eight and Pittsburgh is 6-1 UNDER in its last seven.
The Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks meet up in a rematch from last year’s playoffs this weekend, with both sides looking to bounce back from a tough loss.
Carolina lost to the Oakland Raiders 35-32 as a 3.5-point underdog last week. They’ve been horrible on the road at 1-5 SU in their last six and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight.
Seattle was shocked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14-5 as a 5-point road favorite last week. That snapped a three-game SU winning streak, but at home Seattle has won five straight while going 2-2-1 ATS.
Including last year’s playoff matchup the Panthers have won their last two versus Seattle both SU and ATS. Before that, Seattle had won five in a row against the Panthers at 3-1-1 ATS.
Also on tap this weekend, the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs have an interesting road game against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Chiefs are 6-1 SU and 4-3 ATS in their last seven after upsetting the Denver Broncos 30-27 in overtime as a 3-point underdog last week. On the road Kansas City has won four straight both SU and ATS.
Atlanta is coming off a 38-19 win over the Arizona Cardinals as a 4-point favorite. The Falcons are 3-3 SU and ATS in their last six games and continue to be a tough pick for bettors at home.
Against the Chiefs the Falcons are a 3.5-point favorite, but in their last 11 home games they are 4-7 SU and 3-8 ATS. As a home favorite the Falcons are only 2-6 SU and 1-7 ATS in their last eight.
