NBA Betting: Warriors Set to Face the Clippers
Thursday night in the NBA delivers a prime west coast matchup as the Golden State Warriors visit the Los Angeles Clippers.
Both sides will be playing the second half of back-to-backs Thursday night, as Golden State gets the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, while the Clippers face the Phoenix Suns. Golden State heads into Wednesday having won three straight (2-1 against the spread) and 10 of their last 11 (7-4 ATS).
The Clippers have lost their last two games both straight up and ATS and they’re 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five. At home the Clippers do have a solid 6-1 record (5-2 ATS) in their last seven, but as the underdog, which they will be versus Golden State at the Bovada sportsbook, they’re only 2-6 SU (3-5 ATS) in their last eight.
The Warriors and Clippers met up less than a week ago in Golden State on January 28 and it wasn’t even close. In that game the Warriors rolled to a 144-98 win as a 13-point favorite behind 43 points from Stephen Curry. Including that win the Warriors have won their last eight versus the Clippers with a 5-3 record ATS.
Also on tap Thursday night the San Antonio Spurs appear to have a win in hand when they play host to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Spurs were in action Tuesday night and defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-94 as a 9.5-point favorite. That snapped a two-game losing streak and they improved to 5-2 ATS in their last seven games.
The 76ers take on the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday and boast surprising 9-4 SU and 10-3 ATS records in their last 13 games. That solid showing may not be enough to get them an upset win over the Spurs.
Philadelphia has lost 10 straight versus San Antonio at 3-7 ATS. On the road the 76ers have lost 12 in a row to the Spurs at 5-6-1 ATS and they haven’t won a game in San Antonio since 2004.
Finally on the Thursday night schedule, the Houston Rockets play host to the Atlanta Hawks. The Rockets rebounded from a 2-3 SU and 1-4 ATS road trip Tuesday night with a 105-83 win at home over the Sacramento Kings as a 12-point favorite.
The Hawks visit the Miami Heat on Wednesday night and have been strong on the road lately at 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games. On November 5 they faced off in Atlanta and the Hawks won 112-97 as a 3-point favorite. Atlanta has won their last six against the Rockets at 5-1 ATS.
