UFC 213 Odds Preview: Nunes vs. Shevchenko

The UFC Women’s Bantamweight title will be up for grabs this weekend when the UFC returns to Las Vegas for UFC 213: Nunes vs. Shevchenko 2.

The main event is the title bout between champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Valentina Shevchenko. At the Bovada Sportsbook the challenger is a slim favorite with Shevchenko listed at -125 and Nunes at -105.

Nunes has won her last five fights and owns a 14-4 record with 10 wins by knockout. This will be her third title defense. She last defended the title at UFC 207 in December when she defeated Ronda Rousey with a first-round TKO.

Shevchenko is 7-1 in her last eight fights and has a 14-2 record with four wins by KO and six by submission. She last fought at UFC on Fox 23 in January and defeated Julianna Pena by submission with an armbar.

Coincidentally Shevchenko’s last loss came against Nunes. They met at UFC 196 in March 2016. That fight went the distance with Nunes winning by unanimous decision.

Another rematch on the UFC 213 card pits veteran Heavyweight Fabricio Werdum against Alistair Overeem for the third time. At the Bovada Sportsbook Overeem is a small favorite at -135 and Werdum is a -105 underdog.

Overeem is 42-15 and one no contest, with 19 wins by KO and 19 by submission. He is 5-1 in his last six fights and last fought at UFC 209 in March where he defeated Mark Hunt by KO in the third round.

Werdum is 21-6-1 with six wins by KO and 10 by submission. He is 7-1 in his last eight fights and last fought at UFC 203 in September where he beat Travis Browne by unanimous decision.

The first fight between Overeem and Werdum was at a PRIDE event back in 2006. Werdum won that fight by submission. The rematch came five years later in a Strikeforce event, which Overeem won by unanimous decision.

Two fighters on lengthy wining streaks also meet up at UFC 213 when Middleweights Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker clash.

Romero, a +105 underdog in the fight, has won eight straight fights. He is 13-1 with 11 wins by KO and defeated Chris Weidman by KO in his last fight at UFC 205 in November.

Whittaker is a -135 favorite and sits at 18-4 with nine wins by KO. He has won seven fights in a row after defeating Ronaldo Souza by second-round TKO at UFC on Fox 24 in April.
