NFL Week 12 Betting Preview and Trends
Week 12 in the NFL includes a few games with massive spreads, starting with the Chicago Bears at the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles are a 13.5-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook, and head into Sunday having won eight straight while going 7-1 against the spread. Chicago has dropped three in a row straight up at 1-1-1 ATS, and on the road is 1-11 SU and 4-8 ATS in the last 12.
The New England Patriots are home to the Miami Dolphins this week as a 16.5-point favorite. The Patriots have won six straight at 5-1 ATS, and at home have won their last eight versus Miami. The Dolphins have lost their last four games at 0-3-1 ATS, and they’re 1-6 ATS in their last seven games on the road against teams with winning records.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are a 14-point home favorite this week versus the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. Pittsburgh has won five straight at 4-1 ATS, and the Steelers are a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last six night games. The Packers are a lackluster 3-6 ATS in their last nine, and in their last five versus Pittsburgh they’re 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS.
Division leaders clash this week as the Los Angeles Rams host the New Orleans Saints as a 2.5-point favorite. The Saints extended their winning streak to eight games last week, during which they are 6-2 ATS. New Orleans is also a phenomenal 11-2-1 ATS in its last 14 road games. The Rams struggle at home with a 2-8 SU and 2-7-1 ATS record in their last 10, but they are 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the Saints.
AFC West divisional foes trying to stay in the playoff hunt collide this week as the Denver Broncos visit the Oakland Raiders as a 5-point underdog. Denver is on a six-game losing streak both SU and ATS, but the Broncos are 10-2 SU and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 against Oakland. The Raiders are a lousy 2-6 SU and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight, and they’re only 9-26-1 ATS in their last 36 games as a home favorite.
Finishing off Week 12 on Monday night is the Houston Texans at the Baltimore Ravens as a 7-point favorite. Houston doesn’t like Monday Night Football, having gone 1-9 ATS in its last 10 games. The Ravens are 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in their last nine at home, and have had success on Monday night with a 5-1 ATS mark in their last six.
