The college basketball conference tournament season continues Wednesday night.
Our rundown begins with the Pac-12 tournament where three games are on tap Wednesday. First up is the No. 5 seed Stanford Cardinal vs the No. 12 seed California Golden Bears, with the Cardinal as 9-point favorites.
Stanford closed out the regular season 4-1 straight up and 3-2 against the spread in its last five games, while California has lost seven straight at 2-5 ATS. The teams split a pair of games SU this season with Cal winning both ATS. The Bears are 4-1 ATS in their last five matchups with the Cardinal.
Next up is the No. 7 seed Washington Huskies vs the No. 10 Oregon State Beavers as a 1-point favorite.
Washington stumbled to a 3-5 record SU and ATS down the stretch, while the Beavers are 2-4 SU in their last six but have covered in their last three. They split the season series 1-1 SU, but Washington won both games ATS and is 7-2 ATS in the last nine vs the Beavers.
Our final Pac-12 game is the No. 9 seed Arizona State Sun Devils vs the No. 8 Colorado Buffaloes as an 8-point favorite.
Both teams finished the regular season poorly with 1-4 records SU and ATS in their last five games. In the Sun Devils’ last outing, they lost to Stanford 84-83 as an 8-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook, dropping them to 10-13-2 when favored this season. Colorado was 6-9 ATS as the underdog this season.
Moving on to the Big East tournament, Wednesday has the No. 9 seed St. John’s Red Storm vs the No. 8 seed Georgetown Hoyas as a 4.5-point favorite.
St. John’s wasn’t a great bet when favored this season at 6-8 ATS, and the Red Storm are 1-3 SU in their last four overall. Georgetown enters the tournament having lost four straight SU and ATS and with only two SU wins in its last 10.
Georgetown was 2-0 SU vs St. John’s this season, despite not being favored in either game. The Hoyas are 5-2 SU and ATS in their last seven against the Red Storm.
Also on the Big East tourney schedule is the No. 7 seed Marquette Golden Eagles vs the No. 10 seed DePaul Blue Demons as a 5.5-point favorite.
Marquette is 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five, while DePaul is 1-5 SU in the last six but 4-2 ATS. The last time these two teams met up on February 24, DePaul upset Marquette 70-62 as a 2.5-point home underdog, but the Blue Demons are still only 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five against the Golden Eagles.
