NFL Week 4 Betting Preview and Trends
Week 4 in the NFL begins Thursday night with the Los Angeles Rams hosting the Minnesota Vikings.
At Bovada Sportsbook the Rams are a 7-point favorite after starting the season 3-0 straight up and against the spread. Following last week’s upset loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Vikings are 1-5 ATS in their last six, and in their last seven as an underdog, they’re 2-5 SU and 3-4 ATS. Minnesota has won five straight SU and ATS vs the Rams.
The New York Jets take their awful road record into Jacksonville this week to face the Jaguars as a 7.5-point underdog. The Jets are 1-6 SU and 2-4-1 ATS in their last seven road games. Jacksonville had a four-game ATS winning streak snapped last week, and has dropped four in a row SU against the Jets at 1-3 ATS.
In the AFC South, rivals clash when the Indianapolis Colts host the Houston Texans as a 1.5-point favorite. The Colts are 1-5 SU and 2-4 ATS in their last six at home, but as a home favorite they’re 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven. Houston has lost nine straight at 1-8 ATS, and the Texans are 3-6 ATS in their last nine on the road.
Browns 7-2-1 ATS in last 10 vs Raiders
Coming off their first win in nearly two years, the Cleveland Browns are a 3-point road underdog vs the Oakland Raiders. Cleveland has won four straight ATS and the Browns are a surprising 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 vs Oakland. The Raiders have lost seven straight SU at 2-4-1 ATS and they’re a major UNDER play at 9-1 UNDER in their last 10.
On Sunday night, AFC North rivals square off when the Baltimore Ravens visit the Pittsburgh Steelers as a 3-point underdog. The Ravens are 2-4 SU and 3-2-1 ATS in their last six games in Pittsburgh, and in their last nine as an underdog they’re 2-7 SU and 4-4-1 ATS. The Steelers are 1-5 ATS in their last six against Baltimore as a favorite, and at home overall they’ve dropped six straight ATS.
On Monday night, the Denver Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs as a 5-point underdog. Denver is 0-4-1 ATS in its last five and at home is no better at 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven. Kansas City is 7-1 SU and ATS in its last eight but struggles as a road favorite, having lost three straight SU.
