NFL Week 15 Betting Preview and Trends
Week 15 in the NFL kicks off Thursday night with an important AFC West clash between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs are 3.5-point home favorites at Bovada Sportsbook as they look to repeat their Week 1 38-28 win over the Chargers. Kansas City was a 3-point favorite in Week 1 and has won nine in a row straight up against the Chargers while going 7-2 against the spread. The Chargers are 9-1 SU and 6-4 ATS in their last 10 and as an underdog they’ve won three straight.
On Sunday the Houston Texans look to rebound as 6.5-point road favorites vs the New York Jets. Houston had its nine-game winning streak snapped last week but on the road has still won four straight SU and ATS, and as a road favorite the Texans are 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven. The Jets are 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS in their last seven, and at home they’re 2-5 SU and ATS in their last seven.
Two teams fighting for playoff spots collide when the Minnesota Vikings host the Miami Dolphins as 7-point favorites. Miami has won three straight ATS, but on the road the Dolphins have lost five straight at 1-4 ATS, and they’re 1-10 SU and 2-9 ATS in their last 11. Minnesota is 2-4 SU and ATS in its last six and against Miami has dropped three straight at 1-2 ATS.
Patriots favored over Steelers at Heinz Field
The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are both coming off surprising upset losses as they clash in Pittsburgh with the Patriots listed as a 1.5-point road favorite. The Patriots are only 3-4 SU and ATS in their last seven road games, but against the Steelers they’ve won five straight at 4-0-1 ATS. The Steelers have lost their last three SU and ATS and in their last six at home vs New England they’re 1-5 SU and ATS.
On Sunday night the Philadelphia Eagles’ season could be on the line when they face the Los Angeles Rams as a 9-point road underdog. The Eagles are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games, and on the road they’re 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five. The Rams are awful against the Eagles at 1-11-1 ATS in their last 13, and at home overall they’re 6-0 SU and 2-2-2 ATS in their last six.
On Monday night, NFC South rivals square off when the Carolina Panthers host the New Orleans Saints as 6.5-point underdogs. Carolina has lost five straight SU and ATS, but is much better at home with a 10-1 record SU and 8-3 ATS in its last 11. The Saints are 7-2 SU and ATS in their last nine as road favorites and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four in Carolina.
