Las Vegas - Not quite sure what's happening with the Mets, but BOY, did GM Brodie Van Wagenen make the right decision to stand pat at the trade deadline. On July 25, the New Yorkers started winning, and rolled off five straight Ws leading up to the 31st. Apparently, BVW saw something we didn't, and he decided not to sell any assets. Great move. The Mets have continued scorching, winning 6 of the last 7 since the deadline. They throw Zack Wheeler tonight, and he has lost only one game since June 22. And his last start was full of bagels, as in 7 innings, 0 earned runs and 7 Ks. Miami rookie Jordan Yamamoto killed it when he first joined the Marlins rotation, winning his first four decisions, but the kid has started to struggle. Tell me Eck? In his last three starts, he has been blitzed for 13 hits and 15 earned runs in just 14 innings. With an ERA approaching 10, gotta throw down on the Metropolitans.
