College Football Week 6 Betting Preview

Three Top 25 matchups highlight this Saturday’s college football schedule, starting with a pair of Big Ten matchups.

First up is the No. 14 Iowa Hawkeyes at the No. 19 Michigan Wolverines. At Bovada Sportsbook, the Wolverines are a 3.5-point home favorite.

Michigan snapped a seven-game losing streak against the spread last week by blanking the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 52-0 as a 27.5-point favorite. At home, Michigan has won 10 in a row straight up while going 6-4 ATS.

Iowa has won seven straight at 4-3 ATS after routing the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 48-3 as a 23.5-point favorite. As an underdog, the Hawkeyes are 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five, and 2-8 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last 10.

In their last six vs the Wolverines, the Hawkeyes are 5-1 SU and 3-3 ATS.

Spartans are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games

Also in the Big Ten on Saturday, the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes play host to the No. 25 Michigan State Spartans as a 20.5-point favorite.

Ohio State is 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS on the season following last week’s 48-7 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers as a 17-point favorite. The Buckeyes have won 11 straight at 7-4 ATS, and at home they’ve reeled off 16 straight wins at 8-8 ATS.

The Spartans have been tough on bettors lately with a 2-7 ATS record in their last nine games. Last week, they failed to cover as 14-point favorites in a 40-31 win over the Indiana Hoosiers.

Last season, Ohio State topped Michigan State 26-6 as a 3.5-point road favorite. In their last 10 games vs the Spartans, the Buckeyes are 7-3 SU and 5-5 ATS.

Tigers favored by 3.5 over host Gators

The other Top 25 clash is an SEC matchup between the No. 7 Auburn Tigers and the No. 10 Florida Gators. The Tigers are a 3.5-point road favorite.

Auburn is 5-0 SU and ATS on the season, but as a road favorite the Tigers are 4-3 SU and 3-3-1 ATS in their last seven.

The Gators have won nine straight while going 5-3-1 ATS. As a home underdog, Florida is 3-5 SU and 4-4 ATS in its last eight.

The Tigers and Gators haven’t met up since 2011 when Auburn won 12-6 as a 3-point home underdog. Auburn has won five straight ATS vs the Gators but at Florida is 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS in the last five.
