College Football Week 8 Betting Preview
Three ranked matchups highlight Week 8 in college football, starting with a Big Ten clash between the No. 16 Michigan Wolverines and the No. 7 Penn State Nittany Lions.

Michigan improved to 5-1 SU on the season after defeating the Illinois Fighting Illini 42-25 last week. However, the Wolverines failed to cover as a 24.5-point favorite, falling to 2-4 ATS on the season and 2-8 ATS in their last 10. On the road, the Wolverines have been an awful bet at 1-7 ATS in their last eight.
Last season Michigan crushed Penn State 42-7 as a 13-point home favorite. In their last five against the Nittany Lions, the Wolverines are 4-1 SU and ATS.
Sun Devils upset Utes last year as home dog
The Pac-12 boasts a pair of ranked matchups on Saturday, starting with the No. 17 Arizona State Sun Devils at the No. 13 Utah Utes as a 13.5-point underdog.
The Sun Devils are coming off a 38-34 upset win over the Washington State Cougars as a 2-point underdog. With the win, they improved to 3-5 ATS in their last eight. On the road, Arizona State is 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five.
Utah is only 3-6 ATS in its last nine. At home, the Utes have won seven straight at 4-3 ATS. The Utes have been money in October lately, with five straight wins in the month, both SU and ATS.
Last season the Sun Devils upset the Utes 38-20 as a 7.5-point home underdog. In the last eight games against Utah, Arizona State is 6-2 SU and 4-4 ATS.
Ducks 12-2-1 ATS in last 15 against Huskies
The other ranked matchup in the Pac-12 is the No. 12 Oregon Ducks at the No. 24 Washington Huskies as a 3-point road favorite.
Oregon has won five straight at 3-2 ATS following last week’s 45-3 drubbing of the Colorado Buffaloes as a 23-point favorite. On the road, Oregon is a lackluster 3-7 SU and ATS in their last 10, and as a road favorite they’re 4-5 SU and ATS in their last nine.
Washington has been tough at home with a 17-1 SU record and 9-9 ATS mark in its last 18 games. However, as a home underdog, the Huskies have lost five straight at 1-4 ATS.
Last season, Washington defeated Oregon 30-27 as a 3.5-point road favorite. In their last 15 games against the Huskies, the Ducks are 13-2 SU and 12-2-1 ATS.
