College Football Week 11 Betting Preview
The top two teams in the nation meet up in an epic clash of SEC rivals in Week 11 of college football when the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide play host to the No. 1 LSU Tigers.
The Crimson Tide may hold the lower ranking, but playing at home on Saturday they’re a 6-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook.
Coming off a bye week, Alabama is undefeated at 8-0 straight up and is 4-4 against the spread. In their last 25 games, the Crimson Tide are 24-1 SU and 13-11-1 ATS, while at home they’re 30-0 SU and 15-15 ATS in their last 30.
LSU is also coming off a bye week and is undefeated at 8-0 SU with a 5-2-1 ATS record. On the road, the Tigers are 3-1 SU in their last four with a perfect 4-0 ATS mark. They’re also 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. As an underdog, the Tigers are only 4-9 SU and 6-6-1 ATS in their last 13 games.
Last season, Alabama easily got past LSU 29-0 as a 14-point road favorite. Overall, the Crimson Tide have won eight straight vs the Tigers while going 5-2-1 ATS.
Penn State-Minnesota offers another battle of unbeatens
The Big Ten boasts a pair of ranked matchups this weekend starting with the No. 5 Penn State Nittany Lions at the No. 13 Minnesota Golden Gophers as 7-point road favorites.
Penn State is coming off a bye week at 8-0 SU and 5-3 ATS. As a road favorite, the Nittany Lions have won eight straight while going 6-2 ATS.
Minnesota is also coming off a bye week with an 8-0 SU record and a 5-2-1 ATS mark. The Golden Gophers have also won five straight games ATS. As a home underdog, Minnesota is a lackluster 3-7 SU in its last 10 but is 7-3 ATS.
Penn State is 5-1 SU and 3-2-1 ATS in its last six games against Minnesota. In Minnesota, the Nittany Lions are 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS in their last six.
Hawkeyes 1-6 ATS in last 7 games as underdog
The other ranked matchup in the Big Ten this weekend pits the No. 18 Iowa Hawkeyes against the No. 16 Wisconsin Badgers as a 9-point road underdog.
Iowa returns from a bye week 6-2 SU and 3-5 ATS on the season. The Hawkeyes are also 9-2 SU and 5-6 ATS in their last 11, and when listed as an underdog they’re only 1-6 SU and ATS in their last seven.
Wisconsin is also coming off a bye with a 6-2 record SU and 5-3 mark ATS. The Badgers have lost their last two games SU and ATS, but at home they’ve won five in a row at 4-1 ATS.
Last season Wisconsin defeated Iowa 28-17 as a 3-point road favorite. The Badgers have won three straight SU and ATS vs Iowa, and in their last seven matchups Wisconsin is 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS.
