College Football Week 14 Betting Preview
Rivalry weekend delivers plenty of top-notch matchups in college football on Saturday, starting with the annual matchup between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines.
The Wolverines are at home but they’re still a 9.5-point underdog at Bovada Sportsbook. Michigan has won five straight against the spread and at home the Wolverines have won 13 in a row straight up while going 9-4 ATS. As a home underdog, they’re 1-7 SU and 3-5 ATS in their last eight.
Ohio State is undefeated on the season at 11-0 SU with an 8-3 ATS record. On the road, the Buckeyes have won six straight at 4-2 ATS, all as the favorite. Against Big Ten opponents, they have won 13 straight at 9-4 ATS.
Last season, Ohio State defeated Michigan 62-39 as a 4.5-point underdog. Overall, Ohio State has won seven straight against Michigan with a 4-3 ATS mark.
Tide favored by 4 over Tigers in Iron Bowl
In the annual Iron Bowl this weekend, the Auburn Tigers are a 4-point home underdog vs the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Auburn is 9-3 SU and ATS in its last 12 following last week’s 52-0 shutout of the Samford Bulldogs as a 45.5-point favorite. At home, the Tigers are 6-1 SU and ATS in their last seven, and as a home underdog they’re 3-1 SU in their last four and 4-1 ATS in their last five.
Alabama has won seven straight road games at 5-2 ATS, all as a favorite. Last season, the Crimson Tide crushed Auburn 52-21 as a 26-point favorite. In their last five vs the Tigers, the Tide are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS, while in Auburn they’re 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS in their last five.
Badgers seek to avenge 2018 loss to Gophers
Returning to the Big Ten, the Wisconsin Badgers visit the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday as a 2.5-point road favorite.
Wisconsin hasn’t been kind to bettors lately at 1-4 ATS in its last five. The Badgers are 3-5 SU and ATS in their last eight road games, and as a road favorite they’re 2-2 SU and ATS in their last four.
Minnesota is 6-1-1 ATS in its last eight games. As a home underdog, the Golden Gophers are a strong 7-3 ATS in their last 10. Against opponents from the Big Ten, Minnesota is 8-1 SU and 7-1-1 ATS in its last nine.
Last season, Minnesota upset Wisconsin 37-15 as an 11.5-point underdog. Prior to that loss, Wisconsin had won 14 straight against Minnesota at 7-6-1 ATS.
Sooners 13-point road faves in Bedlam battle
Finally, in the Big 12 on Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys as 13-point favorites.
The Sooners have been a terrible bet lately with four straight losses ATS and a 1-6 ATS record in their last seven.
The Cowboys have been a much better bet with four straight wins SU and ATS, and a 5-1 record SU and ATS in their last six. As a home underdog, the Cowboys have won four straight.
Last season, the Sooners edged the Cowboys 48-47 as a 21.5-point favorite. In their last 16 games against the Cowboys, the Sooners are 14-2 SU and 11-5 ATS.
