UFC 245 Betting Preview & Odds Roundup
Christmas comes early for MMA fans Saturday night as three UFC titles will be on the line at UFC 245: Usman vs Covington.
The main event at UFC 245 is a welterweight title bout between champion Kamaru Usman and challenger Colby Covington. At Bovada Sportsbook, Usman is a -185 favorite and Covington a +150 underdog.
Usman has won 14 straight fights and owns an overall record of 15-1 with six wins by knockout. He won the welterweight title in his last fight at UFC 235 in March, defeating Tyron Woodley by unanimous decision as a +135 underdog.
Covington is on a seven-fight winning streak and is also 15-1 with two wins by KO and five by submission. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 5 in August when he defeated Robbie Lawler by unanimous decision as a -345 favorite.
Holloway favored to retain featherweight strap
The UFC featherweight title will also be up for grabs at UFC 245 when champion Max Holloway faces challenger Alexander Volkanovski. At Bovada, Holloway is a -170 favorite and Volkanovski a +140 underdog.
Holloway is 14-1 in his last 15 fights and his overall record stands at 21-4 with 10 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 240 in July, defeating Frankie Edgar by unanimous decision as a -400 favorite.
Volkanovski has won his last 17 fights to improve his record to 20-1 with 11 wins by KO and three by submission. His last fight was at UFC 237 in May when he defeated Jose Aldo by unanimous decision as a +105 underdog.
Nunes’ bantamweight crown also on the line
The third title fight on the UFC 245 card is a women’s bantamweight championship bout between champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Germaine de Randamie. Nunes is a -280 favorite and de Randamie is a +220 underdog.
Nunes has won her last nine fights and owns an 18-4 record with 13 wins by KO. In her last fight at UFC 239 in July, she defeated Holly Holm by first-round TKO as a -465 favorite.
De Randamie has won five straight fights and is 9-3 with four wins by KO. She last fought at UFC Fight Night 155 in July, stopping Aspen Ladd by first-round TKO as a -109 underdog.
Nunes and de Randamie fought six years ago at UFC: Fight for the Troops 3 in November 2013. In that fight, Nunes won by first-round TKO. Nunes was a -105 underdog in the bout and de Randamie was a -170 favorite.
