NFL Betting: Divisional Round Sunday
Sunday’s NFL divisional round action kicks off with the Houston Texans at the Kansas City Chiefs in the only regular-season rematch on tap this weekend.
At Bovada Sportsbook, the Chiefs are a 9.5-point home favorite. Back in Week 6, the Texans upset the Chiefs 31-24 as a 3.5-point road underdog. The Texans and Chiefs also met up in the 2016 playoffs when Kansas City rolled to a 30-0 win as a 3-point favorite.
Last week the Texans posted a 22-19 comeback win over the Buffalo Bills as a 2.5-point favorite. That may not bode well for Houston as the Texans are 1-7-1 against the spread in their last nine games following an ATS win. In the playoffs the Texans are 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS on the road, and 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS as an underdog.
Kansas City has won six straight both SU and ATS. The Chiefs have a miserable playoff history at 2-12 SU and ATS in their last 14. At home, the Chiefs are 1-7 SU and ATS in their last eight playoff games. As a playoff favorite, the Chiefs are 2-6 SU in their last eight.
Packers favored by 4 over visiting Seahawks
In Sunday’s other matchup, the Green Bay Packers host the Seattle Seahawks as a 4-point favorite.
Green Bay has won five straight at 3-2 ATS, and at home this season the Packers were 7-1 SU and 5-3 ATS. The Pack are 5-1 ATS in their last six playoff games and at home in the playoffs they’re 5-5 SU and 3-6-1 ATS in their last 10.
Seattle got past the Philadelphia Eagles 17-9 as a 1-point underdog last week. In their last nine road games, the Seahawks are 8-1 SU and 6-2-1 ATS. The Seahawks have been a great underdog bet lately at 10-2 ATS in their last 12.
The Seahawks and Packers last met up in the 2018 regular season and Seattle edged Green Bay 27-24 as a 3-point home favorite. The Packers are 3-1 SU in their last four vs Seattle and 4-0-1 ATS in their last five. At home to the Seahawks, the Packers have won eight straight at 6-1-1 ATS.
In three playoff matchups between Green Bay and Seattle, the Packers are 2-1 SU and ATS. The home team has won every game.
