UFC 246 Betting Preview & Odds Roundup
Conor McGregor makes his long-awaited return to the Octagon this weekend as the UFC sets up shop in its old stomping ground in Las Vegas for UFC 246: McGregor vs Cowboy.
The main event this weekend is a welterweight bout between McGregor and Donald Cerrone. At Bovada Sportsbook, McGregor is a -335 favorite and Cerrone a +225 underdog.
McGregor is 21-4 with 18 wins by knockout in his career. He last fought at UFC 229 in October 2018 when he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov by fourth-round submission as a +130 underdog.
Cerrone has lost his last two fights to drop his overall record to 36-13 and one no contest, with 10 wins by KO and 17 by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 158 in September, losing to Justin Gaethje by first-round TKO as a +135 underdog.
Holm favored over Pennington in bantamweight rematch
Also on the UFC 246 main card is a women’s bantamweight rematch between Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington. At Bovada, Holm is a -145 favorite and Pennington a +115 underdog.
Holm is a disappointing 2-5 in her last seven fights and overall she is 12-5 with eight wins by KO. Her last fight was at UFC 239 in July when she lost to Amanda Nunes by first-round TKO as a +210 underdog.
Pennington is 10-7 with one win by KO and three by submission. She last fought at UFC on ESPN 4 in July, defeating Irene Aldana by split decision as a +105 underdog.
Holm and Pennington previously fought at UFC 184 in February 2015. In that bout, Holm won by split decision as a -667 favorite. Pennington was a +350 underdog.
Heavyweights Oleinik, Greene both coming off losses
One last interesting bout at UFC 246 is a heavyweight tilt between Aleksei Oleinik and Maurice Greene. Oleinik is a +110 underdog and Greene a -140 favorite.
The veteran Oleinik is 57-13-1 with eight wins by KO and 45 by submission. In his last fight at UFC on ESPN 4 in July, he lost to Walt Harrison by first-round KO as a +120 underdog.
Greene is 8-2 with two wins by KO and four by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 162 in October when he lost to Sergei Pavlovich by first-round TKO as a +160 underdog.
