NBA Betting: Bucks Take Act To Motor City
The NBA returns from the all-star break Thursday night with the NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks getting the second half started on the road against the Detroit Pistons.
The Bucks had a five-game winning streak snapped in their final game heading into the break, falling to the Indiana Pacers 118-111 as a 1.5-point road underdog at Bovada Sportsbook. Despite the loss, the Bucks are still 14-2 straight up and 10-6 against the spread in their last 16 games.
The Pistons have lost four straight at 2-2 ATS, and in their last 12 games they’re a lousy 2-10 SU and 4-8 ATS. Detroit is no better at home, going 2-6 SU and ATS in its last eight.
Milwaukee is 2-0 SU and ATS against Detroit this season. Overall, the Bucks have won 10 straight against the Pistons at 9-0-1 ATS.
Sixers have won 11 straight at home
Staying in the East, on Thursday night the Philadelphia 76ers welcome the Brooklyn Nets.
The 76ers have won three straight at 2-1 ATS, but they haven’t been a great option for bettors lately at 2-6 ATS in their last eight. At home the 76ers have been rolling with 11 straight wins and an 8-3 ATS record.
The Nets are coming off a 101-91 upset win over the surging Toronto Raptors as a 4-point home underdog. That was their fifth straight win ATS, and in their last eight games they’re 6-2 SU and 7-1 ATS. On the road it’s a different story, as the Nets are 2-9 SU and 3-8 ATS in their last 11.
Philadelphia is 2-1 SU and ATS in three matchups with the Nets this season. In their last seven against Brooklyn, the 76ers are 6-1 SU and ATS.
Rockets 1-6 ATS in last 7 as road fave
Out in the West on Thursday night, the Houston Rockets should be road favorites when they visit the Golden State Warriors.
Houston entered the break 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS in its last seven. On the road the Rockets are a disappointing 4-7 SU and 3-8 ATS in their last 11, and as a road favorite they’re 1-6 ATS in their last seven.
The Warriors have lost four straight at 2-2 ATS, and they’re 2-9 SU and 6-5 ATS in their last 11. At home Golden State is 1-9 SU and 4-6 ATS in its last 10.
The Warriors and Rockets last met up on Christmas Day and Golden State delivered a 116-104 upset win as an 11.5-point underdog. At home against Houston, the Warriors have won four straight at 2-2 ATS.
