Las Vegas - Still waiting on my Southampton jersey. Was thinking about wearing it to watch the game against Manchester United, but guess I'll just throw on my Yankees #2 t-shirt.

The red-hot Red Devils will host Southampton, and it's gonna be a tough slog for the visiting Saints. When we say red-hot, we mean RED-HOT! After at 1-1 draw at Tottenham in the first game back, Man U have been one slick scoring machine. They have won five in a row, and outscored their opponents, 16-3. The Devils are sitting in 5th place on 59 points, with 16 wins, 8 losses and 10 draws. They've scored 59 goals and allowed 33 for a gorgeous +26 goal differential. Southampton is holding down the 12th slot on 44 points, with only 13 wins, 16 losses and 5 draws. They've hit the net 43 times and allowed 56 for a disappointing -13 goal differential.

Always look at the injury list for each side, and this is how one of the English papers, believe it was the Guardian, described the health of Man U.

"Manchester United is one of the few teams in the Premier League to have been blessed with an absence of injuries and niggles since the restart of the season."

So, we understand the word injuries, but niggles??? We went to the dictionary and found out that niggle can mean either persistent annoyance, discomfort, or anxiety. However, when it comes to sports, this is what it means according to the CanToo website from Australia.

'With a niggle, you're going to be experiencing soreness, or tightness, but it will not keep you from running. With an injury, that's something causing you enough pain to stop you from running. An injury is something that keeps you out of the game and stops you from running. Now it’s really important that you don’t ignore it when you’re feeling a niggle.'

Okay, class is over.

Now we gotta make some money.

Everyone is talking up the Saints and their 1-0 victory over the powerful Manchester City squad, but we've done our homework, and here's what happened. City was coming off a STUNNING 4-0 winning bagel at home over 1st place Liverpool, and the trip to Southampton just three days later was a TOTALLY FLAT effort from the Citizens. Not giving the Saints TOO much love for that win. United is a big Phat -$340 to -$400 favorite depending where you shop, so, we will visit Prop City baby. Taking the Red Devils to win the 1st half at around -$155, and also taking over 2.5 goals at about -$180.
