Las Vegas - You've probably heard that the Mid-American Conference (MAC) has cancelled the fall football season and we're hearing that other conferences might be next. UH OH!!!

Gonna shake off the bad news with some crazy ice, and try the Maple Leafs over the Blue Jackets in the win-or-go-golfing game five. It ain't the best two words in hockey, game seven, but it's a REALLY big deal, especially in Ontario. If you were not watching game four, the Maple Leafs were down 3-0 with about four minutes on the clock, then pulled the goalie, and scored three goals to force overtime. And then it was the Leafs $58 million dollar man and captain, Auston Matthews, drilling the winner in OT. If you wanna talk about UNCLE MO, he's living LARGE in the Toronto locker room. Get the MapleLEAF blower out and empty some cash on to Toronto.

Pick up your bat and roll out to Los Angeles with me for a taste of the Dodgers. This is gonna be an expensive plate of caviar, but Walker Buehler is worth it. We DON'T do caviar at the Ecks & Bacon home office because it is WAY TOO PRICEY. Tell me Eck, how much? You should expect to spend at least $50 to $75 for 30 grams (1 ounce), which is just enough caviar to make a few good bites for two people. Really! But the prices can get astronomically high. The Special Reserve Ossetra from Petrossian, which is a 100 year old joint based in Paris, runs about $12,000 a kilo, or $378 for a 30 gram tin!!! L.A. is gonna be around $300 to win back $100 if you're interested, but like caviar, Buehler is worth every little tiny black egg of roe.

My horse guy, Martin Calia, NAILED the Travers Stakes winner yesterday, and he's back today to scoop up some cash in the Ellis Park Derby...

Talk to us Marty...

'Wow is all I can say after watching Tiz the Law demolish yesterday's Travers field! He will no doubt be the morning line favorite in the Kentucky Derby. But, that is 27 days away and we have two preps left that can earn valuable points to earn entry on the first Saturday in September. The Ellis Park Derby is Race 10 and it's a mile and an eighth for three year old colts. I'm sticking with the only horse that can possibly give Tiz the Law a run for his money, and that is #4 Art Collector. He won the G2 Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland and earned a field best 103 Beyer speed rating. He was flattered when another runner in this field, Shared Sense, won the Indiana Derby. He has won his last four races and a win here will make him the second choice behind Tiz the Law on September 5th, Derby day. Lets bet a Benjamin on #4 Art Collector and a $5 exacta wheel #4 with all.
