Las Vegas - After a delicious win yesterday in the first Eastern Conference semi-final, Boston 112-94 over Toronto, we'll try and make the bank account even fatter with a look at the Bucks/Heat game.
Lets take a look at the regular season work. In the first game at Milwaukee, the Heat (+11.5) posted a 131-126 win and the total went Over 222.5. The next meeting at Miami, the Heat (+5) won again, 105-89, and the game went Over the posted total of 227.5. The third and final meeting was in the Orlando bubble, and the Bucks (-9.5) rolled to a 130-116 W, and the total went Over 223.5.
Miami, after losing opener to Indiana, came back with 4 straight wins. And Milwaukee also dropped its opener, against Orlando, then roared back with four in a row. So, no edge.
Looking at the coaching matchup, everyone loves Coach Bud, Mike Budenholzer, and he has done yeoman work at every stop in his NBA career, with a gorgeous 565-329 (.582) record. But, and it's a BIG ONE, Coach Bud has NEVER won a ring! Then there's the Miami coach, Erik Spoelstra, who rarely gets talked about as one of the NBA's best X & O guys. Well, Spo HAS won TWO RINGS, and owns a phenomenal 886-523 (.590) record.
Looked at the box score from the August 6 game in the bubble, the game that the Bucks posted a 130-116 win. And guess what? NO Jimmy Butler! Yea, Jimmy Buckets was a NO GO. Buckets IS gonna GO this evening, and we're gonna GO right to the phone, hit the sportsbook app, and roll with the kids from the Sunshine State. If you have only +5.5, PLZ buy the hook to +6!!!
