UFC Betting: Adesanya vs Costa Odds Preview
The UFC returns to Abu Dhabi this weekend as UFC 253: Adesanya vs Costa will take over the Flash Forum on Yas Island.
The main event is a middleweight title bout between UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and challenger Paulo Costa. At Bovada Sportsbook, Adesanya is a -185 favorite and Costa a +150 underdog.
Adesanya is undefeated in his MMA career at 19-0 with 14 of his wins coming by knockout. He last fought at UFC 248 in March when he defeated Yoel Romero by unanimous decision as a -300 favorite.
Costa is also undefeated at 13-0 with 11 wins by KO and one win by submission. He also faced Romero in his last fight, at UFC 241 in August 2019, and won by unanimous decision as a +110 underdog.
Reyes favored in light heavyweight title bout
The vacant UFC light heavyweight title will also be up for grabs this weekend in a bout between Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz. At Bovada, Reyes is a -300 favorite and Blachowicz a +230 underdog.
Reyes is coming off his first career loss, which dropped his record to 12-1 with seven wins by KO and two by submission. That loss came at UFC 247 in February to former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones by unanimous decision as a -285 favorite.
Blachowicz has won seven of his last eight fights and owns an overall record of 26-8 with seven wins by KO and nine by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 167 in February, defeating Corey Anderson by first-round KO as a +175 underdog.
Kara-France has won 9 of last 10 fights
Also on the main card this weekend is a flyweight bout between Kai Kara-France and Brandon Royval. At Bovada, Kara-France is a -240 favorite and Royval a +190 underdog.
Kara-France is 9-1 in his last 10 fights and his overall record stands at 21-8 and one no contest, with nine wins by KO and three by submission. He last fought in February at UFC Fight Night 168 where he defeated Tyson Nam by unanimous decision as a -330 favorite.
Royval has won three straight fights and six of his last seven. He’s 11-4 with three wins by KO and seven by submission. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 9 in May, besting Tim Elliott by second-round submission as a +100 underdog.
