Las Vegas - Looking kinda BLEAK in Vegas. Not only are the casinos operating at 50%, but so are the Raiders. It has been a rough few weeks for Jon Gruden's banged up troops. They came off a three game winning streak, almost beat the Chiefs, then went lose, win, lose. Two of the three losses came against teams that are for sure (Kaycee) and probably (Colts) in the playoffs. The defense was gashed for 200 rushing yards in back-to-back games, so Gruden gave defensive coordinator Paul Guenther the pink slip, and installed D-line coach, Rod Marinelli. Not saying that Hot Rod is the answer, but when the D caught a bunch of grief after allowing 45 points to the Bucs, they came back the next week and held the Browns to only six.
The Lightning Bolts might have soon-to-be offensive rookie of the year Justin Herbert, but they've covered only one of the last seven. Vegas is still alive for a wild card, and needs a monster effort from QB Derek Carr. After looking at some of the stats, we've noticed that Carr is top 10 in adjusted yards per attempt (8.0), passer rating (102.1), and completion rate (68.2 percent). Unfortunately, he also leads the NFL with 11 fumbles. Not gonna spend a whole lotta green on this game, but will take a quick ride to Prop City, and take Over 3.5 total field goals.
