UFC Betting: Edwards vs Muhammad Preview
Leon Edwards returns to the Octagon for the first time in almost two years this weekend as part of the main event at UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Muhammad.
The main event is the welterweight bout featuring Edwards and Belal Muhammad. At Bovada Sportsbook, Edwards is a -275 favorite and Muhammad a +215 underdog.
Edwards has won eight straight fights and owns an overall record of 18-3 with six wins by knockout and three by submission. His last fight was at UFC on ESPN 4 in July 2019 when he defeated Rafael dos Anjos by unanimous decision as a -125 favorite. Edwards hasn’t fought since due to numerous fights being postponed, mostly due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Muhammad has won four straight fights and eight of his last nine. He owns an 18-3 record with four wins by KO and one by submission. It’s a short turnaround for him after fighting just last month at UFC 258 where he defeated Dhiego Lima by unanimous decision as a -555 favorite.
Cirkunov favored over Spann in light heavyweight tilt
Also on the main card this weekend is a light heavyweight bout between Misha Cirkunov and Ryan Spann. At Bovada, Cirkunov is a small -125 favorite and Spann a -105 underdog.
Cirkunov is 2-3 in his last five fights, which has dropped his record to 15-5, with four wins by KO and nine by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 158 in September 2019, defeating Jimmy Crute by first-round submission as a +105 underdog.
Spann had an eight-fight winning streak snapped in his last fight at UFC Fight Night 178 in September, when he lost to Jimmy Walker by first-round KO as a +120 underdog. His record stands at 18-6 with four wins by KO and 11 by submission.
Tucker takes three-fight win streak into match vs Ige
One other notable fight on the main card this weekend is a featherweight bout between Dan Ige and Gavin Tucker. At Bovada, Ige is a -150 favorite and Tucker a +120 underdog.
Ige is 14-3 with three wins by KO and five by submission. He had a six-fight winning streak snapped in his last fight, losing to Calvin Kattar by unanimous decision as a +180 underdog at UFC on ESPN 13 in July.
Tucker has won three straight fights to bump his record up to 13-1 with four wins by KO and six by submission. He last fought at UFC 256 in December and defeated Billy Quarantillo by unanimous decision as a +150 underdog.
