Las Vegas - Seven-inning doubleheaders and runners on second base to start extra innings will return this season, but not the DH in the National League. So, if someone will buy me some peanuts and Crackerjacks, I'll throw out a couple of Over/Under season win totals. Looking down South to Florida, no not Tampa, but rather Miami, and gonna go Over 71.5 wins. The Marlins won 31 of the 60 games played last season, and should have no trouble getting close to .500. That would be 79/80/81 wins, and an EASY Over. My play is based on a solid pitching staff led by All-Star Sandy Alcantara with a nice mix of veterans and young studs.

And if you wanna go low, gonna give you the White Sox Under 90.5 wins. Not really thrilled with the Sox pitching staff of Lucas Giolito, Dallas Keuchel, Lance Lynn, Dylan Cease and Carlos Rodón. They've also lost one of the best young players in the league, Eloy Jimenez, for at least four months. The 24-year-old Jimenez hit 31 homers in 2019 and batted .296 with 14 homers and 41 RBI in 55 games during the pandemic-shortened season in 2020. That's some serious production down the drain. Projecting his totals out to a full 162 game season, if healthy, he coulda been well OVER 100 RBI. And if you think Tony La Russa is the magic elixir to get Chicago to the top of the food chain, don't hold your breath.

Just noticed the category for most strikeouts. I'll take a pass on the two favorites, Jacob deGrom and Gerrit Cole, and grab a little taste of Cleveland's Shane Bieber. He can't sing, but man is his stuff is NASTY!
