2021 NFL Draft Betting Odds Preview
The 2021 NFL Draft begins later this week with the first round on Thursday night and the Jacksonville Jaguars hold the first overall pick.
At Bovada Sportsbook, there are a ton of 2021 NFL Draft prop bets available, but you may not want to bother placing a bet on who will be drafted first overall. There are odds on the first overall pick but with Trevor Lawrence going at -100000, you’ll be counting your pennies on a winning bet unless the completely unexpected happens.
Lawrence, Wilson huge favorites to go at top of draft
Betting who’s going to go second overall also has a strong favorite at Bovada with Zach Wilson at -4000. If for some reason the New York Jets pass on Wilson, a few other options at Bovada include Justin Fields at +700 and Trey Lance at +2500.
The third overall pick belongs to the San Francisco 49ers, who made a major trade with the Miami Dolphins to move up the draft board. It’s believed the 49ers made that trade to draft a quarterback, which is why Mac Jones is a -190 favorite at Bovada to go third overall. Following him on the props odds list are Lance at +175 and Fields at +400.
If you think you’re Nostradamus and can correctly pick the order of players selected in the draft, there are several props available that focus on position, the OVER/UNDER for dozens of players and the position of the first pick for several teams.
For example, at Bovada you can bet on the first four wide receivers chosen in exact order. The favorite on that prop is Ja’Marr Chase first followed in order by Jaylen Waddle, DeVonta Smith and Rashod Bateman at +275.
Which position do Bucs target at end of first round?
All the experts expect quarterbacks to go in the top three picks. But what about the final pick in the first round, which belongs to the Super Bowl championTampa Bay Buccaneers? A defensive lineman is favored to go to the Buccaneers at +200. Also available on that prop is offensive lineman at +450, running back at +500, cornerback at +650 and linebacker at +800.
With quarterbacks getting all the buzz in this draft, one interesting prop available at Bovada is “first non-quarterback drafted.” The favorite here is tight end Kyle Pitts at -150, followed by wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase at +300 and offensive tackles Penei Sewell at +300 and Rashawn Slater at +800. Not surprisingly, Pitts is also favored to be drafted with the fourth overall pick at -200.
