Las Vegas - On the baseball board, not sure what kind of diet 41 year old Rich Hill is following, but heard that he might have spoken to Phil Mickelson a few weeks ago. How else would you explain his last four starts for Tampa Bay. After a so-so April, Hill has allowed one teeny, tiny earned run over the last 21 innings, for an invisible 0.43 ERA in May. And since the Rays have won 11 in a row, gotta jump into the wallet, climb Hill's back, and BOOK IT!!!

Been a bunch of chatter in the Carolina/Nashville series about the refs tilting the ice towards the Predators. Just like any good coach, Rod Brind'Amour wants his Hurricanes to get a fair shake. Hot Rod let it all hang out at a press conference saying, "We played our butts off. We played great, we played hard, we're playing a great team. We're in a battle. Nashville's a phenomenal team. But we're also fighting the refs. That's plain and simple. You can't tell me two games in a row, they get seven or eight [power plays] and [we] get three? When the game is this even? It's not right." In game four, the ice shifted, with the 'Canes getting five power plays and the Preds getting just three. See what a little bit of screaming will do. But back home in Raliegh at the PNC Arena, Carolina is a TOTALLY different beast. The Hurricanes won the first two games of the series at the PNC, 5-2 and 3-0, and have won eight of the last nine in front of their good luck charm, Stormy, the anthropomorphic pig. And if you were wondering, anthropomorphic just means having human characteristics. And if you were wondering about the head-to-head, the 'Canes have whipped the Predators SIX STRAIGHT times this season at the PNC, and outscored 'em 23-7. Carolina is on my mind and gonna be part of my wallet.
