UFC Betting: Usman vs Covington 2 Odds
The UFC returns to New York City and Madison Square Garden this weekend as a pair of UFC titles will be on the line at UFC 268: Usman vs Covington 2.
The main event this weekend is a UFC welterweight title bout rematch featuring champion Kamaru Usman and challenger Colby Covington. At Bovada Sportsbook, Usman is a -310 favorite and Covington a +240 underdog.
Usman, who won their first bout in December 2019 via fifth-round knockout, has won his last 17 fights and hasn’t suffered a loss since 2013. His record stands at 19-1 with nine wins by knockout and one by submission. He last fought at UFC 261 in April when he knocked out Jorge Masvidal in the second round as a -275 favorite.
Covington has won eight of his last nine fights and has a record of 16-2 with four wins by KO and four by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 178 in September 2020 and defeated Tyron Woodley by fifth-round TKO as a -355 favorite.
Oddsmakers have Namajunas-Weili rematch as toss-up
The other title bout on the main card this weekend is also a rematch for the UFC women’s strawweight title between champion Rose Namajunas and challenger Zhang Weili. The oddsmakers at Bovada don’t know who has the advantage, listing both fighters at -110.
Namajunas is 5-1 in her last six fights and owns an overall record of 10-4 with two wins by KO and five by submission. Weili had a 21-fight winning streak snapped by Namajunas in her last fight and owns an overall record of 21-2 with 10 wins by KO and seven by submission.
Namajunas and Weili met up at UFC 261 in April and Namajunas defeated Weili to claim the women’s strawweight title. In that bout, Weili was a -222 favorite and Namajunas a +165 underdog.
Gaethje favored over Chandler in lightweight contest
Also on the main card this weekend is a lightweight bout featuring Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler. At Bovada, Gaethje is a -220 favorite and Chandler a +175 underdog.
Gaethje has won four of his last five fights to improve his record to 22-3 with 19 wins by KO and one win by submission. He last fought at UFC 254 in October 2020, losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov by second-round submission as a +230 underdog.
Chandler is 22-6 with 10 wins by KO and seven by submission. He last fought in May at UFC 262 where he lost to Charles Oliveira by second-round TKO as a +100 underdog.
