tua and kyler
Las Vegas - If Kyler Murray sits, then we are ALL IN on the 49ers. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that Murray would be a game-time decision. Even if he goes, his ankle injury will be an issue with his second most important weapon, his legs. Speaking of weapons, DeAndre Hopkins is questionable and A.J.Green is out, so that's two more YUGE problems for backup QB, Colt McCoy. San Francisco played the Cards in week five at Arizona and came up on the short end of a 17-10 score. So Eck, what's changed? Well, the QB spot has changed from Trey Lance back to Jimmy Garoppolo. In that loss, Lance was 15 for 29 for only 192 yards, and they got just 43 yards from Elijah Mitchell. Last week, in the Niners 33-22 win over the Bears, Jimmy G hit on 17 of 28 for 322 yards, and Mitchell EXPLODED for 137 on the ground. Again, if Murray is out, we rush for the gold and rock the 49ers. If Kyler plays, still like San Fran, but would dial back the wager by half.
After dropping a double shot of winners last week, the Other Silver Brother is jumping into some serious territory with a 7-2 record. OSB is now hitting 77.7% and tells me that it'll be 80% by the close of bizness Sunday night. Here are the magic three. Start out down in the Big D and drop the Cowboys from -10 to pick'em against the Broncos. Slide over to Florida and slice the Bills from -14.5 to -4.5 points over Jacksonville. Close up shop in Los Angeles, and bump the Titans up from +7.5 to +17.5 points against the Rams.
Secret Santa wants back in to challenge Silver, and we'll give him another shot. Why? Because he has been following me since I started writing in the New York Daily News back in 1980. Now that's LOYALTY!!! Okay Double S, you got the floor.
'Thought I'd give it another try and challenge OSB who is doing great btw. Start with the Bengals and push 'em to +7.5 points. They have to be breathing fire after losing to the Jets. Then going to Carolina and taking the Panthers plus 13 and a hook and going with this trend....Carolina is 5-0 ATS in its last five games when playing New England. Going to close with the Chargers getting +8 points at Philly. Herbert gets back to his winning ways at the Eagles expense. And of course you can print it all if you want my friend (just did). Next week I'll have a pick that uses one of your stats from the 80's. See if you can guess what it is.' Hmmmmmmm.
If you're wondering why the Dolphins line dropped from -7 to -4, they just announced that Tua Tagovailoa is OUT!!!
