cowboy up
Las Vegas - Why should you lay eight points with a Dallas team that looked HORRIBLE against an average Denver squad last week, losing at home, 30-16? We have reasons. First up, it was Dak Prescott's first game back after missing a couple of weeks, and like a top flight pitcher, he was certainly a little rusty. Despite an off week, Dak is still having a crazy good season, completing almost 70% of his passes, with 18 TDs and only 5 INTs. Before the ugliness against the Broncos, the Cowboys had covered SEVEN in a row, and even with last week's dud, STILL lead the NFL with 434.3 yards per game. And then there's Dan Quinn. Surely you remember that Quinn was the head coach at Atlanta from 2015-2020, and is now in charge of the Dallas D. Think that Danny Q knows a little something somethin' about how to defend Matt Ryan? Think that he'll be looking for a taste of sweet revenge after getting fired? Yes and oh yea, and, you can take THAT to the BANK!
My man, the Other Silver Brother is back with some goodness. Silver slipped last week, but is still rocking the party at 70%. The OSB is starting with the Colts and dropping Indy from -10 to pick'em against the Jaguars. Moving to Washington and slicing the Bucs from -10 to pick'em. Closing in Arizona and taking the Cards from -8 to +2 points against the Panthers.
Not gonna give the Other Silver Brother the teaser spotlight all to himself, because there's an Eck tease that looks GOLDEN. Start with the Saints and bump New Orleans up from from +3 to +13 points against the Titans. Then plump the Panthers up from +8 to +18 points against the Cards. Close with Philly, and take the Igles up from +1 to +11 points over the Broncos.
Looks like the Secret Santa wants back in, and he is using one of my trends from back in the 1980's when I worked at the New York Daily News. I'm a sentimental guy, so we'll give the Secret Santa another shot at the gold. The trend he is talking about is, play against a team the following week after they scored 40 or more points. So, he is on New Orleans, and taking the Saints from +3 to +13 against the Titans. Then it's the Jaguars from +10 to +20 points over the Colts. And he is fighting me on the last leg of the tease, taking the Falcons from +8 to +18 points over the Boys. The selection has nothing to do with the trend, so we'll see where Santa winds up.
