Las Vegas - A little housekeeping on the college bowl board. The biggest move on the slate comes in the Quick Lane Bowl. Nevada opened -2.5 over Western Michigan, but Western is now -3.5. The total also dropped from 63 to 58.5 and it all revolves around Wolfpack QB Carson Strong. With a nagging knee injury and the possibility of getting selected in the 1st round of the NFL draft, Strong says that he might not play. Why such a big deal? Well, Carson put up some VERY Strong numbers this season, gobbling up 4,175 air yards with 36 TDs and a 70% completion rate. Oh yea, he was also the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year.
Another pretty huge move came in the Hawaii Bowl, where Memphis has jumped from -3.5 to -7 points over the Rainbow Warriors. Again, you wanna know why? Hawaii's leading passer, QB Chevan Cordeiro and RB Dae Dae Hunter, both entered the transfer portal before the Rainbows knew they would be eligible for a bowl game.
Not jumping in with both hands tonight, but will lean on Arizona -2.5 points over the Rams. The Cardinals are sitting on top of the NFC with a 10-2 record, and Kyler Murray is one of the BEST weapons in the NFL. Murray missed three games but is still throwing DARTS, completing 72.7% of his passes, which is only the BEST in the league. Yea, better than TB12 (68.3%), Dak (69.0%), Tua (70.9%) and Mac Jones (70.3%). And if you're going all in on the Rams after last week's 37-7 blowout against the LOWLY 2-11 Jaguars, DON'T. Before whipping the Jags, L.A. lost to the Packers (9-3), 49ers (6-6) and Titans (9-4). Before that, the Rams beat the Texans (2-11), Lions (1-10-1), Giants (4-8) and Seahawks (5-8). So, they're good against bad, and, BAD against good! Gimme Double K, Kliff Kingsbury and his kids for the money! But make it a tickle, not, a Ba Da Boom!
