Let the bowls begin. But lets NOT get crazy with the early games tonight. Two MAC teams, a Conference USA team and a Sun Belt squad. No offense, but not exactly primo competition. And let the record show that Ecks & Bacon is NOT an avid follower of these conferences. With 130+ teams on the betting board almost every week, ya gotta narrow the focus, and the MAC, USA and Sun Belt have not been on my radar. Sure, there are a handful of geeks, and we say that with love, from Ypsilanti and Kalamazoo that are dialed in to the MAC, but not us. Just being honest.

Move to Orlando where Coastal Carolina has jumped up to -12 points over Northern Illinois in the Cure Bowl. Coastal hit double digits closing the season at 10-2, but against the spread, not nearly as good, with a 5-6-1 mark. The Chanticleers were 5-6-1 as a favorite and 2-3 on the road. They went Under seven times and Over five. Northern Illinois checked in at 9-4 straight up, 8-4-1 against the spread. The Huskies were 6-3-1 as an underdog and 4-2 on the road. They went Over seven times and Under six.
