UFC Betting: Volkanovski vs Korean Zombie
The UFC returns to Jacksonville, Florida, this weekend with UFC 273: Volkanovski vs the Korean Zombie at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
The main event this weekend is a UFC featherweight championship bout featuring champion Alexander Volkanovski and the “Korean Zombie,” Chan Sung Jung. At Bovada Sportsbook, Volkanovski is a -800 favorite and the Korean Zombie a +500 underdog.
Volkanovski has won 20 straight fights and owns an overall record of 23-1 with 11 wins by knockout and three by submission. He hasn’t lost a fight since May 2013. He last fought at UFC 266 in September when he defeated Brian Ortega by unanimous decision as a -200 favorite.
The Korean Zombie is 4-3 in his last seven fights and his record stands at 17-6 with six wins by KO and eight by submission. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 25 in June, topping Dan Ige by unanimous decision as a +115 underdog.
Yan heavy favorite in rematch with Sterling for title
The UFC bantamweight title will also be on the line this weekend in a title unification bout between Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan. At Bovada, Yan is a -525 favorite and Sterling a +360 underdog.
Yan is 11-1 in his last 12 fights and owns an overall record of 16-2 with seven wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 267 in October, besting Cory Sandhagen by unanimous decision as a -305 favorite.
Sterling has won six straight fights to improve his record to 20-3 with two wins by KO and eight by submission. He faced Yan in his last fight at UFC 259 in March 2021 and was awarded the win after Yan was disqualified due to an illegal knee. Sterling was a +250 underdog and Yan the -410 favorite.
Chimaev puts undefeated mark on line vs Burns
Also on the main card this weekend is a welterweight fight featuring Gilbert Burns and Khamzat Chimaev. At Bovada, Chimaev is a -575 favorite and Burns a +380 underdog.
Chimaev is undefeated in his MMA career at 10-0 with six wins by KO. He last fought in October at UFC 267 where he submitted Li Jingliang in the first round as a -600 favorite.
Burns has won seven of his last eight fights and his overall record stands at 20-4 with six wins by KO and eight by submission. He last fought at UFC 264 in July and defeated Stephen Thompson by unanimous decision as a +125 underdog.
