Mavericks trying to buck history vs Golden State
With the win in Game 4, Dallas is now 3-0 in elimination games during its playoff run. If they were to keep that streak going, the Mavericks would become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-0 series deficit.
The series returns to Golden State for Game 5 and the Warriors are 7.5-point favorites at Bovada Sportsbook. In the playoffs so far, the Warriors are 11-4 straight up and 8-7 against the spread. That includes going 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five games.
Warriors have yet to lose at home in 2022 playoffs
Golden State has been perfect at home during its playoff run with an 8-0 SU record and a 6-2 ATS mark.
Following their Game 4 win, the Mavericks’ record in the playoffs is 9-8 SU and 10-7 ATS. Most of those losses have come on the road, where Dallas is 3-6 SU and 4-5 ATS. That includes going 1-5 SU and ATS in the last six road games.
As an underdog, the Mavericks are 5-7 SU and 6-6 ATS in their last 12.
The Warriors and Mavericks have now met eight times this season and have split the season series right down the middle at 4-4 SU and ATS. The series shift back to Golden State may end up being the difference-maker. At home to the Mavericks, the Warriors are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four.
However, bettors should be aware that Dallas is 6-3 ATS in its last nine road games against the Warriors.
