Las Vegas - According to ESPN's Basketball Power Index, the Celtics have an 86% chance to win the NBA Finals, while the Warriors have a 14% chance. WHAT!!! SERIOUSLY!!! C'MON!!! YOU'RE KIDDING!!! OBVIOUSLY, the BPI must have had a VIRUS, because those percentages are RIDICULOUS and don't make sense in any universe!

First the history. These two have met twice. Back on December 17 in Boston, the Warriors (-4) beat the Celtics 111-107, which was a push at most shops. The Over/Under total was 216.5 and went high. And just for the record, GSW did NOT have Klay Thompson. In the rematch out West, Boston (+1.5) crushed the Warriors 110-88. The Over/Under total was 220.5 and went low. And just for the record, the Warriors did NOT have Andrew Wiggins.

That's the history, now here's my why. Look at the three teams the Celtics beat on the way to the Finals. A four game sweep of a Nets team that was the epitome of DYSFUNCTION and could not be bothered. Then it was a seven game struggle against Giannis and the Bucks, who turned into a one man gang when All-Star Khris Middleton was lost. Another epic seven game struggle against the Miami Heat, or more accurately, the Miami Jimmy Buckets. Everyone is slobbering all over themselves raving about Boston's defense, and yea, that was fine against teams with only one option. Now they face a Golden State team with options ALL OVER the court. Not only the Splash Brothers, Steph Curry and Klay, and the GREAT Draymond Green, but a spectacular supporting cast. Jordan Poole has really turned up the heat in the playoffs, averaging almost 30 minutes and close to 17 points per game. Then you have Andrew Wiggins who is averaging over 33 minutes, almost 16 points per game, 7 boards and plays wicked defense. Kevon Looney holds up well in the middle and there's a possibility that Gary Payton II and Otto Porter Jr., both listed as questionable, could see some action as the series rolls on. TOO much Splash and not enough defenders, so gimme the Dubs to win the Larry O'Brien Trophy in six games. As for game one, just a little tickle to the kids from the Golden state!

Missed the afternoon starting time, OOPS...sorry...had the Blue Jays over the White Sox.
