orioles and stuff

Las Vegas - No one is expecting the Orioles to contend for a wild card in the American League East, but these kids are having fun and balling. They've won four of the last six (not including last night) in the TOUGHEST division in MLB, and Tyler Wells has been rolling. Last season, Baltimore lost 110 games and the improvement in 2022 has been dramatic. They're only eight games under .500 and seem to have a solid foundation in place. Back to Wells who has not lost a game since May 25, with three wins and one no decision, which was an Oriole W. The Birds will be looking at Patrick Corbin, and with an UGLIFIED 3-9 record, they are drooling. Corbin has been roughed up the last four times out, getting raked for 36 hits and 16 earned runs over a 19 inning stretch. When you're allowing almost TWO hits per inning, there ARE issues. It doesn't happen often, but gimme the O's for the money.
