Las Vegas - How does a team go from putrid to kinda pretty good? Well, sometimes, it's all about the coach. The Jaguars suffered through an UGLY 3-14 season under Urban Meyer. Apparently and allegedly, no one liked Urban and didn't wanna play for him. Boy did it SHOW! In comes Doug Pederson and all of a sudden the Jags are 2-1, Trevor Lawrence is playing like a #1 draft pick and the defense is nasty. Looking at Lawrence, the numbers from his rookie season to the first few games of this season are like night and day. In 2021, Trevor completed just 59% of his passes with only 12 TDs and 17 INTs. This season, he's hitting on 69% of his passes and has 6 TDs against just 1 INT. And the D is doing quite a job. They've allowed only 38 points over three games, and just three teams (Bucs, Broncos, 49ers) have done it better. In case you don't remember, coach Pederson was with the Eagles for five years and led the Birds to their only Super Bowl title. Then he got the dreaded pink slip after the 2020 season. He might not get the outright win here, but covering the spread sounds right. Of course, if you're seeing Jacksonville at +6.5 points, PLZ buy the hook to +7. Enjoy.

On the MLB board, gonna rock San Diego over the White Sox. Like what Blake Snell is doing for the Padres allowing only 1 earned run over the last 19 innings. Padres for the money!
