College Football Week 6 Betting Odds Preview
The Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs are expected to dominate in Week 6, as both undefeated SEC powerhouses are big home favorites.
The newly No. 1-ranked Crimson Tide play host to the Texas A&M Aggies in Week 6. At Bovada Sportsbook, Alabama is a 24-point favorite. Last week, Alabama easily took care of the Arkansas Razorbacks 49-26 as a 17-point favorite. With that win, the Crimson Tide moved to 4-1 against the spread on the season and in their last 14 games they’re 13-1 straight up and 9-5 ATS. Alabama is 30-0 SU and 20-10 ATS in its last 30 as the host, and that includes going 15-3 ATS in the last 18.
Texas A&M is coming off a 42-24 loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs as a 4-point underdog. The Aggies are 2-4 ATS in their last six, and on the road they’ve dropped three straight both SU and ATS. As an underdog, the Aggies have proven the oddsmakers right by going 2-14 SU and 7-8-1 ATS in their last 16.
Last season, Texas A&M upset Alabama 41-38 as an 18.5-point home underdog. Prior to that loss, Alabama had won eight straight against Texas A&M with a 5-3 ATS record.
Georgia coming off scare vs Missouri as huge favorite
The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs face the Auburn Tigers as 29-point favorites in Week 6. Georgia survived a scare last week and barely got past the Missouri Tigers 26-22 as a 30.5-point favorite. That dropped the Bulldogs to 2-3 ATS on the season and for totals bettors it was their seventh straight UNDER. When favored by 20-plus points, the Bulldogs have won 16 straight while going 6-10 ATS.
Auburn lost to the LSU Tigers 21-17 as an 8-point underdog last week. That snapped a four-game ATS losing streak, but Auburn is still only 2-8 ATS in its last 10. The Tigers have also paid well as an UNDER bet with a 10-1 UNDER record in their last 11. As an underdog, Auburn is 2-11 SU and 4-9 ATS in its last 13.
Last season, Georgia defeated Auburn 34-10 as a 14.5-point favorite. The Bulldogs have won five straight both SU and ATS vs Auburn, and at home to the Tigers they’ve won seven straight SU and ATS.
LSU an underdog in Death Valley to No. 8 Volunteers
Sticking with the SEC, the No. 25 LSU Tigers take on the No. 8 Tennessee Volunteers as 3-point home underdogs this weekend.
LSU has won five straight at home with a 4-1 ATS record. The Tigers have also been a good bet as a home underdog with a 4-1 SU record and 4-0-1 ATS mark in their last five.
Tennessee is coming off its bye week. Two weeks ago, the Volunteers defeated the Florida Gators 38-33 as 11-point favorites. When favored on the road, the Vols have won three straight SU and ATS, and they’re 7-3 SU and 5-4-1 ATS in their last 10.
In this matchup, LSU has won five straight with a 2-1-2 ATS record.
