Las Vegas - Does not get any better than #1 vs. #2. If you're looking at the AP Top 25, then Georgia is your #1. If you're looking at the College Football Playoff Rankings, then Tennessee is your #1. Respect the defending National Champion Bulldogs and the 8-0 record, but gotta look at the lack of quality teams on the schedule. With the exception of Oregon, the slate is NOT very impressive. We're talking Samford, Kent State, Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, Auburn and Vanderbilt. The Volunteers have also had a few cupcakes, like Akron, Ball State and UT-Martin, but they have also posted wins over Alabama, LSU and Kentucky. And if the Dawgs secondary is gonna be generous, like they were against Kent State (68% completion rate) and Missouri (63% completion rate), it could be a long day. Why? Two words. Hendon Hooker. Double H is now the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, and is putting up STAGGERING numbers. Hooker has completed 156 of 219 passes, which works out to 71%, for 2,338 yards, with 21 TDs and ONLY 1 INT! And the Dawgs will be without their leading pass rusher, LB Nolan Smith. Might not be an outright upset, but since the Vols have covered seven of eight, gotta buy the snowman and take plus eight to the bank! Actually, updating the odds, we are now seeing mostly +9 points here in Vegas. Shop well!
