Las Vegas - My son and I are in a fantasy league and we do the draft together. When I told him that the 49ers should be our #1 team pick, he LAUGHED at me. "Dad, you're always terrible when it comes to the NFL." THX kid. Of course, you can insert a VERY BAD word into that sentence, because my son does have a potty mouth. So, the Niners started off lousy, losing two of the first three, and four of the first seven. And of course, I caught a bunch of grief. However, San Fran has come roaring back, winning six in a row straight up and covering five, with the BEST defense in the league. The QB situation has been a circus of horrible injuries, starting with the season-ending injury to Trey Lance and the latest bang to Jimmy Garoppolo. So, they turn to Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy from Iowa State, the LAST player taken in the draft. What can you expect from a THIRD string QB? Well, apparently, some VERY good things. Last week against a pretty STOUT Tampa Bay defense, Purdy was kinda SPECTACULAR. Brock hit on 16 of 21 for 185 yards, with 2 TDs and O INTs. And a rating of 134! Seattle had a nice run in the middle of October, winning and covering four in a row. But the tide has turned, and the Seahawks have lost three of the last four, and are OH & FOUR against the spread. They were mauled by the 49ers back in September, 27-7, and while we're not expecting another blowout, it should be another W. And that win was WITHOUT Christian McCaffrey. Run CMC just joined the 49ers back in October and rumbled for 119 yards in the win against the Bucs. Even without the talented Deebo Samuel, we're still PURDY happy about this selection!

Uh Oh. Just found out that the 49ers are listing Purdy as questionable for tonights game due to his oblique and rib injuries. If it AIN'T Purdy, then we AIN'T opening the wallet.
