NFL Wild Card Saturday Betting Odds
The NFL playoffs kick off Saturday with a pair of wild-card round games starting with the Seattle Seahawks at the San Francisco 49ers.
At Bovada Sportsbook, the 49ers are heavy 10-point favorites. San Francisco won the NFC West this season by going 13-4 straight up with an 11-6 record against the spread. The Niners finished the regular season with 10 straight wins and an 8-2 ATS record during that streak.
Red-hot Niners double-digit favorites vs Seattle
At home, the 49ers have won six in a row SU and five straight ATS, and in their last 13 home games they’re 12-1 SU and 11-2 ATS. In the playoffs, the 49ers are 4-2 SU and 5-1 ATS in their last six, and at home in the playoffs they are 11-3 SU and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14.
Seattle grabbed the final wild-card spot after going 9-8 SU and 7-10 ATS. The Seahawks closed out the regular season with consecutive wins, but in their last eight games they were 3-5 SU and 1-7 ATS.
On the road this season, Seattle was 4-4 SU and 3-5 ATS. In their last seven games as an underdog, the Seahawks are 4-3 SU and ATS. In the playoffs, the Seahawks have lost four of their last five while going 2-3 ATS. On the road in the playoffs, they’re 3-12 SU and 6-9 ATS in their last 15.
The 49ers were 2-0 vs the Seahawks this season, with a 27-7 win as 8.5-point home favorites in Week 2 and a 21-13 win as 3-point road favorites in Week 15. Prior to this season, Seattle had dominated this matchup with a 15-2 SU record and a 12-5 ATS mark in its last 17 vs San Francisco.
Chargers look for revenge against Jacksonville
The other Saturday wild-card matchup is the Los Angeles Chargers at the Jacksonville Jaguars as 1-point road favorites.
The Chargers were the top wild-card team in the AFC after going 10-7 SU and 11-5-1 ATS this season. In their last five games, they were 4-1 SU and 4-0-1 ATS.
Los Angeles was 5-4 SU and 7-2 ATS on the road this season. When favored, the Chargers have won eight of their last nine at 5-3-1 ATS, and as a road favorite they’ve won five straight at 4-1 ATS. In the playoffs, the Bolts are a surprising 1-4 SU in their last five when favored.
Jaguars have won 5 straight as home underdog
The Jaguars won the AFC South with a 9-8 record SU and 8-9 record ATS. They head into the postseason on a five-game winning streak with a 4-1 ATS record.
At home, the Jaguars have won four straight at 3-1 ATS, and they were 5-3 SU and 4-4 ATS at home this season. Jacksonville has been solid as an underdog lately at 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five, and as a home underdog the Jags have won five straight.
In Week 3, Jacksonville upset Los Angeles 38-10 as a 6.5-point road underdog. Before this season, the Chargers were 8-1 SU and 9-0 ATS in their last nine games vs the Jaguars.
