The Masters Props Betting Preview

Golf betting gets a boost this week with the first major of the season. The Masters starts on Thursday, but there’s more bets to be made than just picking the eventual tournament winner.

The list of Masters props at Bovada Sportsbook is quite long this year. Not only are there several fun props to wager on like the cut line, the possibility of a hole-in-one, and the winning margin for the champion, but there are also a few props that could make it easier to cash in on the winner.

Bovada is offering several 2 chance and 3 chance prop bets on the Masters this year. A 2 chance bet basically gives you the opportunity to bet on two golfers to win the tournament on one wager. A 3 chance bet, as the name suggests, gives you a chance to bet on three golfers at once.

Scheffler/McIlroy available at +300 on 2 chance wager

For example, you can make a 2 chance bet on the two tournament favorites, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, and it pays at +300. You can add Jon Rahm to that trio for a 3 chance bet with +190 odds.

If you want to take a little more risk, another option is to take the top two LIV favorites with a 2 chance bet on Cameron Smith and Dustin Johnson at +900. The list of available 2 chance and 3 chance bets is quite long so if you’re looking for a specific duo or trio, scope out the list at Bovada because you may find them.

There is also a long list of odds for who will or won’t make the cut at Augusta this week. For example, you can get McIlroy at -1400 to make the cut and +600 to miss the cut. McIlroy has only missed the cut at Augusta twice in 14 tournaments, but one was only a couple of years ago in 2021. Several LIV golfers are getting low-paying odds to miss the cut, including Phil Mickelson (+110), Bryson DeChambeau (+125) and Bubba Watson (+125).

Cink sank ace in 2022 to cash for hole-in-one bettors

Checking in on some of the fun props, Yes is a -230 favorite for whether there will be a hole-in-one this year, while No is a +175 underdog. In Masters history, there have been 27 holes-in-one recorded in the tournament, including one last year when Stewart Cink aced the 16th hole.

This year’s cutline props include +4 or worse at -170, and +3 or better at +130. Last year the cut was +4.

Finally, the winning margin prop has one stroke at +200, two strokes at +350, three strokes at +550, four or more strokes at +350, and a playoff at +400. Last year, Scottie Scheffler won by three strokes.
