NBA Betting: Lakers Favorites Wednesday
After upsetting the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of their opening-round series the Los Angeles Lakers will be looking for another win on Wednesday night in Game 2 as a road favorite.
With Grizzlies star Ja Morant questionable to play in Game 2 the Lakers are 1-point road favorites at the Bovada Sportsbook. Los Angeles won Game 1 by a score of 128-112 as 5-point road underdogs. That was the Lakers' fourth straight win and in their last nine they’re 8-1 straight up and 5-4 against the spread.
The Game 1 loss dropped Memphis to 3-5 SU and 2-6 ATS in their last eight. This season they were a home underdog only four times and posted a 3-1 record SU and 4-0 record ATS. Including the Game 1 loss the Grizzlies are 1-3 SU and ATS versus the Lakers this season.
Nuggets host T-Wolves as Game 2 chalk
Also in the Western Conference on Wednesday night the Denver Nuggets host the Minnesota Timberwolves as 8.5-point favorites. The Nuggets easily won Game 1 of the series 109-80 as 8.5-point favorites.
The Nuggets have won their last two games SU and ATS, but in their previous six they were 1-5 SU and 3-3 ATS. The Nuggets have been a profitable UNDER play for totals bettors lately at 12-2 UNDER in their last 14 games. They’ve also gone UNDER in six straight at home.
Minnesota had a five-game ATS winning streak snapped by the Game 1 loss. In the playoffs the Timberwolves are 1-12 SU and 6-7 ATS in their last 13 road games. In Denver the Timberwolves have lost three straight and in their last 11 they’re 2-9 SU and 8-3 ATS.
Heat underdogs facing Bucks on Wednesday
The lone Eastern Conference game on the Wednesday schedule is Game 2 between the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are 6.5-point home favorites.
The Heat delivered a 130-117 upset win as 9-point favorites in Game 1. Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo left Game 1 due to a back injury but is expected to play Tuesday.
Despite the win in Game 1 Miami is 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS in its last six road games and 4-9 ATS in its last 13 on the road. However, as an underdog they’ve won three straight.
Milwaukee has dropped three in a row both SU and ATS, and they’re 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10. At home in the playoffs the Bucks have surprisingly lost three in a row SU and four straight ATS. At home against the Heat the Bucks are 7-1 SU and 5-3 ATS in their last eight.
