Las Vegas - Okay, someone tell me what's wrong with Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals. They've played 41 games and Ovie has ONLY eight goals. WHAT? Yea, and he has a plus/minus rating of -11. We know that the pressure of chasing Wayne Gretzky for the most goals all time is staggering, but that can't be the only thing. Alex is sitting at 830 goals, 64 behind the Great One, and at this rate, it'll take him three more years to climb to the top of the mountain. And he will be 41. Ovechkin's decline has mirrored Washington's season. The Caps are just a bit above average at 22-16-6 overall, and own an UGLY -24 goal differential. And they have lost four of the last five on the road. Totally different story in Denver, where the Avalanche sit in 2nd place in the Central and have won nine of the last 12. But it's the damage that the Avs are doing at home, winning nine of last 10, that is gonna allow us to open the wallet, wide, real wide!

Also gonna dip a toe into the college basketball pool and take Seton Hall over Providence tonight.
