Las Vegas - Kansas City is sitting just behind Cleveland in the A.L. Central and one of the reasons is the fabulous record at home. The Royals are 21-8 in Kaycee which is the BEST record in the American League and second best in all of MLB (Philly is the best at 22-8). Michael Wacha is another reason that the Royals are sitting pretty. Wacha got off to a lousy start, winning just once in his first seven outings, but the big righty is starting to heat up. He has won three of the last four, and is pitching to a 2.52 ERA since early May. Dylan Cease is heading in the opposite direction. After winning five of his first seven, he has not had a W since May 8. And his last two starts (10 innings, 17 hits, 9 earned runs) have been kinda ugly. Cease faced Kansas City three times last season when he was with the White Sox, and the results were also pretty ugly (15 innings, 21 hits and 12 earned runs). We're gonna open the wallet for Kaycee.
On the NHL ice, we looked at the Stars after a loss in the playoffs this season, and so far, the record is a 5-0 PERFECTO. Gimme Dallas for the money.
