Las Vegas - Heavyweight battle at the top of the Eastern Conference in Boston with the Celtics -6.5 points over the Cavaliers. Cleveland comes in at 15-0, 7-0 on the road, while Boston is 11-3, and just 4-2 at home. Both teams are at the top of the NBA charts in points per game, with the Cavs at 123.7 and the Celts at 121.6. The points allowed per game are dead even, with both teams giving up 111.4 per game. With teams that are basically so even, which way do you turn? A few notes that might point you in the right direction. While Boston's 11-3 overall record is sweet, these guys in green are on an 0-4 spread run at home. And we looked at a score a couple of weeks ago against Golden State, a game the Warriors won in Boston, 118-112. Guess who was the assistant coach at Golden State from 2021-2024? Kenny Atkinson, the new head X & O guy in Cleveland. You think that Kenny called Steve Kerr to find out how the Dubs beat the Celtics? You bet. Or more accurately, I'll bet. Gimme the Cavaliers +6.5 points for the money. And if you shop around, you might even wanna buy the hook to +7.
