Las Vegas - Looking to start the day with some ACC action and checking in on Wake Forest vs. Miami-Florida. NO DOUBT who the winner is gonna be here. Miami should post a W, but there's always a doubt about the GINORMOUS 23.5 point spread. Sure Miami came into the Tech game with a gorgeous 9-0 record, but really didn't play a top shelf team all season. And against the average teams, kinda like Wake Forest, they have been giving up points by the bushel. Not sure how many points are in a bushel, but they let Duke on the board for 31 points, Louisville ripped 'em for 45 points, California posted 38 and Virginia Tech scored 34. Before you pull the trigger, ya gotta check on Wake's #1 QB Hank Bachmeier and his status. Bachmeier was hurt against the Tar Heels last week and left the game early. If Hank is slinging, then we will drop some medium range coins on Wake plus, but if it's backup and Johnny Manziel look-alike Michael Kern, then we might wash the bet.
C'mon out to the mountains for a look at Boise State vs. Wyoming. It's not often that you see a 22.5 point road favorite, but Boise (9-1) is the cream of the Mountain West crop while Wyoming has turned into a bottom-feeder at 2-8. We know what RB Ashton Jeanty is gonna do, and as long as QB Madsen is on the field, Boise will be a handful. Madsen has been having a fabulous season, completing 175 of 275 (63.6%), for 2,194 yards with 19 TDs and only 3 INTs. However, Boise was very slow at the start of the game last week and fell behind San Jose State 14-0 early in the 2nd quarter. The wakeup call came with 5:46 left in the 2nd and the Broncos went on to outscore the Spartans 42-7. Not thrilled about laying 22 and a hook, so we'll buy the visiting Broncos -6 points to win the 1st Q.
