Las Vegas - Start the day in Philadelphia where the Eagles are -6 points over the Rams. If you just looked at the last time these teams met, November 24 in Los Angeles, and noticed that the Green Birds SQUASHED the Rams 37-20, you might be laying the points with the favorite. And Saquon Barkley was the monster that was mostly responsible. He rumbled for a franchise-record 255 yards on the ground, a total of 302 overall yards from scrimmage and picked up two TDs. The Rams will obviously be putting a huge emphasis on stopping Saquon and if they don't, goodnight, lights out, get out the golf clubs. But lemme tell you that L.A. went on to win five in a row after that loss, rested most of the starters in a 30-25 loss to Seattle in the finale, then opened up the playoffs with a STUNNING 27-9 W over the Vikings. Matthew Stafford has won seven of eight playoff games with the Rams, and as long as he is firing to Cooper Kupp and Puka Nucua, plus six looks like a take.
In the late game, the BEST game of the weekend, the Ravens head to Buffalo as a small 1.5 point favorite. No matter which way you turn, there's a case to be made for both sides. Start with the amazing QB's, Lamar Jackson and
Josh Allen. It'll be a close race for MVP, but Jackson's numbers are PHENOMENAL! He was 316/474 for 4,172 yards with 41 TDs and only 4 INTs. Throw in 915 rushing yards and you understand why Lamar is gonna be holding the hardware. But Allen's numbers were pretty amazing as well. He hit on 307/483 for 3,731 yards with 28 TDs and just 6 INTs. And he also gobbled up 531 yards on the ground. If I had a vote, Lamar is the MVP! And Jackson AIN'T the only problem. There's this guy, think his name is Derrick Henry, that is an absolute force of nature. King Henry busted up the Bills defense in the first meeting, a 35-10 Baltimore win, for 199 yards. It's almost not fair for Jackson to have a weapon like that, and a YUGE issue for a team trying to stop both guys. Still, this game is IN Buffalo where the Bills put up a 9-0 PERFECTO this season, and 16-1 the last two years. Not gonna get crazy, but will throw a very small handful of chips at the Ravens.
