Las Vegas - Gotta start reading my stuff. In my writeup for the last Stanley Cup game on Friday, I said, 'Obviously, the Lightning are the superior team, by a bunch.' Then like a big dope, I open my wallet and tickle the Canadiens. Not tonight. Gonna get my broom out and watch Tampa sweep Montreal on to the golf course. But the wager is just, instead of Bud Light, it's Benj Light!

Then we'll swing out West and grab the Padres over the Nationals. Expecting Joe Musgrove to get the start for San Diego and Jon Lester to get the nod for Washington. If that's the matchup, we open the wallet. Why? Mainly because Lester has been OFFENSIVE, and not in a good way, the last couple of starts. What does offensive smell like? It smells like 12 hits and 12 earned runs in ONLY seven innings. That works out to a 15.43 ERA, which means that Fernando Tatis, Manny Machado and Eric Hosmer are probably gonna be drooling in their sleep on the plane ride back to San Diego. Gimme the Padres for the money!
