Las Vegas - If ANYONE out there had the Magic +13 over the Bucks and the Blazers +6.5 over the Lakers to cover on Tuesday, lemme know. If ANYONE out there had the Magic to win outright on the money line and the Blazers to win outright on the money, lemme know, and you will AUTOMATICALLY become my LEAD NBA HANDICAPPER!!!
So, how do we handle the second game of each series? Gonna leave the Bucks/Pacers on the DNW, do not wager list, because I'm thinking that Milwaukee bounces back with a win in game two, but laying 13 points is a tough pill to swallow.
Gotta look at the Lakers -6 over the Blazers. Was very tempted to look toward Portland, considering that the Lake Show has lost six of the last eight and covered only one of nine in the bubble, while the Blaze have won eight of 10, with a 6-3-1 spread record. Went over the box score from game one, and noticed that LeBron was just 9-20 and 1-5 from beyond the arc. Anthony Davis was 8-24 and 0-5 from the three stripe, and Danny Green managed just 4-12 and 2-8 from deep. These guys ALL had better numbers during the season. King James hit FGs at 49.3% clip, and treys at 34.8%. AD had a solid 50.3% during the season with a 33% mark from deep. And Danny Green was 41.6% overall with a solid 36.7% from the arc.
But the ugly award goes to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Here's a kid that hit FGs at a 46.7% rate this season, with a solid 38.5% from downtown. Sadly, in the opener, he shot BAGELS! He was 0-9 overall and 0-5 from 3-point land. The Pope has to better, and will be better. We can only pray!
Gotta believe that the eight man rotation Portland coach Terry Stotts is using might start to sag, so gimme some Purple & Gold, but again, gonna slice the wager in half.
If you wanna take a quick swing on the baseball board, we're gonna use the Padres with Dinelson Lamet over the Rangers and anybody. LOVE Lamet!!!
Just one pitching change on the board so far, and it's the Angels switching from Heaney to Suarez.
